Volvo Group PKI

The Volvo Group PKI (Public Key Infrastructure) was launched during 2003 with an Key Signing Ceremony marking the start. It today has a Root CA (Certification Authority) and one Issuing CA in production. Volvo Group PKI is owned by Volvo Group IT Governance and is operated by Volvo IT. Volvo is currently transitioning to a new PKI solution as of April 2026, this space now contains information on new PKI as well.

Volvo IT has established a Certificate Center (CC) which is lead by the Product Manager for Certificates. This center is responsible for coordinating development activities and taking decisions within this area.
